Godet are one of the oldest Cognac Houses
still in production, having been blending quality spirits since 1782 and
selling under their own name since 1838. Godet pride themselves in maintaining
the tradition of craft production and developing original styles based on old
recipies.
As one of the few remaining independent family concerns in Cognac they prefer
to work in niche markets and are acredited with numerous awards.
'Cuvee Jean Godet VS (70cl)'
- Blended from stocks sourced and selected from small distillers in the Fins Bois,
Borderies and Bon Bois regions of Cognac. It has a well developed nose of
vanilla and hints of leather and spice, and it's smooth and warming on the palate.
- Superior to the usual 3 year old VS of other producers, having a minimum
4 years of ageing in oak casks.
- A great "value for money" House Cognac

'Gastronome Fine Champagne (70cl)'
- A quality Cognac, a blend of 8 different distillations - 50% Grande Champagne, 50% Petite Champagne -
with a minimum ageing of 14 years in wood.
- A pale yellow colour, showing aromas of of violet and iris, it has a complex light and dry
character. Based on a 1920 recipe, which in turn originates from an 1838 concept of a Cognac
to aid digestion, it has a quite unique style, most Grande and Petite Champagne
blends are fuller and bottled at 8 years.
- As its name and ancestory implies, an excellent digestif.

'Godet XO (70cl)'
- A magnificent 30 year old blend of Grande and Petite Champagne.
- This is a more powerful, complex yet delicate style where rose and violets are

balance of wood, fruit and spirit with a long persistance coming through from the older
and more mature Cognacs used.
- A multi gold medal winner, with it's excellent decanter presentation it can only be summed up as superb.
